Antiques Roadshow Experts Head to Dorset for a Special Valuation Event
Antiques Roadshow enthusiasts, get ready! A thrilling event is coming to Dorset, where you can meet the experts in person and have your antiques valued. On Thursday, January 29th, from 10 am to 4 pm, Athelhampton House in Puddletown will host a special valuation day.
The event will feature a team of renowned experts, including Lee Young, an Asian art specialist, Marc Allum, an antiques and collectibles specialist, Duncan Campbell, a silver expert, and Alexandra Francis, a fine jewelry expert. These experts will be on hand to appraise your antiques at the Coach House restaurant within Athelhampton House.
But this event is more than just a valuation day. It's also a chance to support a good cause. The valuation day is raising funds for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance (DSAA). When the DSAA crew arrives at an incident, they bring the hospital to the patient, providing advanced treatment at the scene. This service is invaluable, as it means patients don't have to be taken to a local hospital first, and then transferred to a specialist center.
The event is open to the public, and no booking is required. However, there is a discretionary donation per item or group of items appraised. So, if you have any antiques or collectibles you'd like to get valued, this is a unique opportunity to do so while supporting a vital service.
